Girls United is a non-profit organisation that provides girls aged 5-16 in London and Mexico with the opportunity to play football and gain life skills, helping them succeed on and off the pitch. We seek to tackle gender inequality and empower girls to reach their full potential.

Funds raised through our partnership with ar tye will help us run social and club competitive football sessions in London and Mexico. We will give girls from underserved communities access to high quality, professional coaches who follow the Girls United methodology - building girls’ confidence, alongside their football skills and technical ability.

"She used to be afraid of going in the football cage at school - a boy had told her that she was a girl and would be rubbish.

Joining the Girls United sessions has helped her discover her love for football and her ability to play. Now she goes into the cage and plays confidently with girls and boys alike.

She's been able to overcome something and that's brilliant."

"My favourite experience was when Valeria arrived. She couldn't believe that this space was only for girls, she was very scared but she wanted to get involved.

In the end she came over to hug me and tell me that she was very happy because there are more girls playing soccer."
